To upload a content file
In your browser, go to the Visix web portal address:
https://signage.buffalostate.edu/manage/
By default, you should be directed to the Overview page for AxisTV Manage. Scroll to the "Schedule Message" window near the middle/bottom of the page.
Select the playlist you would like to add content to.
Select "Media File" if you are uploading a PowerPoint, graphic file (PNG, JPEG), or MP4 video file.
If you prefer to use a template instead, select "Pick & Fill" and refer to the
Pick & Fill article
for the rest of the process.
Select "Schedule."
You will be sent to the "Schedule Message Playlist Item" page. Under "Choose Media File" click the "Choose File" button. A window will pop up, allowing you to select the file you wish to upload. Then click "Open" in that dialog box.
File names MUST start with an alphanumeric character (number or letter, case insensitive). Also, there have been issues reported with files that have special characters (except spaces) in the file name.
Your file will upload. Please be patient. Once it has finished, you will see the "Verify Media File" page.
In "Plays With," please select "Visix Raster Image Viewer" for image files. For video files, select "Windows Media Player." For a PowerPoint, the default selection is fine.
Now click "Import" to finish the import process.
In the left pane of the window, you will see a preview image of your file or a placeholder if it is a video.
You may rename your file if desired, at the top.
Under "Play," select the desired duration of your message (if applicable).
In the right pane of the window, you will see scheduling options for your content. Content may be set to run forever, during a "one-time" window, or during a "recurring" window. Once your desired schedule is set, click a button next to "Add To" to add your content to the beginning, middle, or end of the playlist.
Above the schedule pane, a "Finished" button will appear. Click this once you are done.
Your content has been added!
