Welcome to Buffalo State!

As a student at Buffalo State University, you will need to sign-in to several online systems like email, the Bengal Success Portal, Brightspace and Degree Works. The New Student Login Orientation video below walks you through setting up your "Network password," the general login you'll use to sign-in to these systems. The Attachments section on the right also has two companion guides that you can download.  


 

Account summary

Banner | Course registration (created soon after applying)

Bengal Success Portal | Communication portal for students, faculty, advisers, and support staff (created soon after tuition deposit is paid/waived)

Brightspace | Learning management system (created soon after registering)

Campus Network | Campus computers/wireless network (created soon after being accepted)

Degree Works | Degree audit system (transfers: created soon after evaluation is completed; first year: created soon after registering)

Email Access | Campus email account (created soon after tuition deposit is paid/waived)

Email Access After Graduation: Students retain access to their email account for approximately one full year after leaving Buffalo State. Access will be removed after not being enrolled for two consecutive semesters (excluding summer and J-Term).
