Report a Technology Asset


Service Description

The CIO and VP for Enrollment Management, Marketing and Communication is charged with having knowledge of campus  technology. When IT generates a purchase requisition on behalf of an IT Service Request, the purchased item is listed in the IT asset system where it can be tracked and reported upon.

Sometimes, systems and software are acquired on campus and do not go through IT Purchasing. These are the items that we are interested tracking in the IT asset system. Examples of these items are: Medicat, used by Weigel and Speech Pathology; Razor’s Edge, used by Advancement; PeopleAdmin, used by HR; Purple Briefcase, used by the Career Center; various Point of Sale Systems, etc.

If you have technology in your office that was not purchased with a requisition from IT, it is not documented and tracked in the IT asset system. Please complete this service request by entering information about the asset in the form fields.


Roles and Responsibilities

Requester Responsibilities: 

  • Respondent is responsible for providing details related to the equipment, software or other technology being reported for tracking in the IT asset system.

IT Responsibilities:

  • Maintain an internal technology asset database
