Electronic Course Evaluations (Watermark Course Evaluations & Surveys, formerly EvaluationKIT)

Service Description

Support and training for the deployment of departmental electronic course evaluations.

Timeline Template:

  • Pre-Survey Announcement – (1 week prior to deployment)
  • Project Deployment – (2 weeks from Final Day of Regular Instruction)
  • Project End – (Final Day of Regular Instruction)
  • Report Released – (Friday After Final Grades Close)

Processing of the request and the completion of the Standard Features may take up to a month. If service requests are not made prior to the deadline, Watermark Course Evaluations & Surveys cannot be utilized and departments will need to make alternative arrangements.

Please Note: Requester for a departmental course evaluation deployment needs to be a department secretary, Dean, VP, or Chair.

Standard Features

  • Creation of Departmental Electronic Course Evaluations utilizing Watermark Course Evaluations & Surveys
  • Training and consultation
  • Importing of all departmental courses and users from Banner/Brightspace
  • Creation and managing of Project deployment settings (one survey, standard deployment date) 
  • Support for general questions and issues

Optional Features

Addition of customized questions to the course evaluation. Requester will need to create the customized survey and add to specified courses.

Roles and Responsibilities

Institutional Effectiveness: (System Admin)

  • Create departmental surveys
  • Train requester
  • Import all departmental courses and users from Banner/Brightspace
  • Create and manage Project deployment settings, including standard deployment dates
    • In the case of multiple departments requesting deployment from the same school, a common survey and deployment date will be utilized
    • Information Technology (IT) reserves the right to adjust deployment dates

Requester:

Instructor, Students, and Others

  • Provide the name of the course evaluation and any other pertinent information

Department Representative (CES/Node Admin)

  • Request service prior to the deadline dates posted above
  • Provide course evaluation questions
  • Attend training
  • Provide departmental course catalog prefixes (e.g. ENG, SOC, HIS)
  • Utilize Watermark Course Evaluations & Surveys Admin interface to verify the following
    • Project Settings
    • Correct courses have been imported
    • Verify that the dates are accurate (based on semester schedule)
    • Verify accurate number of instructors & remove any nonessential instructors/guests
    • Verify accurate number of students listed for each course. This is set to refresh daily via adds/drops.
       
  • For the addition of customized questions to the course evaluation: create customized survey and add to specified courses
  • Communicate with department and instructors in regards to the electronic course evaluations
