Add addresses to safe and blocked sender lists in Outlook on the web

The steps below explain how to add addresses to the safe and blocked sender lists using Outlook on the web.

1. Sign-in to your Office 365 account: https://outlook.office365.com/owa/buffalostate.edu 
2. Click the Setting (gear icon) in the top right corner and select Mail from the left side (underneath the Search settings box). 
3. Click Junk email from the middle pane and scroll down to the Senders section. You will see two sections/tabs: Safe senders and domains and Blocked senders and domains
4. To add an address to the Safe senders and domains list, click the Add safe sender button, enter the email address that you want to add and then click OK

5. To add an address to the Blocked senders and domains list, click the Add blocked sender button, enter the email address that you want to add and then click OK

Please Note: While you are on the Junk email settings screen, you might want to look over the email addresses currently in the Safe and Blocked senders lists to see if any addresses should be removed. For example, if there is someone you are not receiving email from, it's possible their address was mistakenly added to the Blocked senders list.
