Service Description
IT Services is able to provide assistance (in designated instructional spaces and conference rooms) for two-way live real-time video and audio for Buffalo State related academic and administrative activities. Web-conference-capable spaces are listed here. Microsoft Teams is the only officially supported web conferencing platform on campus.
Standard Features
- User requests use of rooms for video conferences and web conferences for collaboration activities.
- IT Services reviews requests for room availability, scheduling, and technical feasibility.
- IT Services notifies user of approval or denial within 2 business days.
- IT Services conducts setup and assists with initiation of conference (if applicable).
Optional Features
IT Services will troubleshoot and assist with issues encountered on the local end of the communication.
Roles and Responsibilities
User Responsibilities:
- Placing request and responding to inquiries for clarification in a timely manner.
- Confirming any necessary remote end addresses needed for connection.
- Providing an account to be used for connecting to the remote end (for web conferencing).
IT Services Responsibilities:
- Respond to requests as soon as possible.
- Review technical feasibility, room availability, and policy support.
- Ensure proper operation of equipment.

Response and resolution times are based on operational hours (Monday through Friday from 8:00AM to 5:00PM).

Please Note: Response Time is measured from ticket submission date/time until the ticket is moved to an 'In Process' status. Resolution Time is measured from ticket submission date/time until the ticket is completed/resolved. A ticket in an 'On Hold' status (e.g. IT is waiting for additional information from the requestor) does not count toward the Resolution Time.
