1. First, be sure that the SMART utilities are running by double-clicking the "Smartboard" icon on your desktop.
2. Next, open the PDF file that you wish to import into SMART Notebook.
3. Once the PDF is opened, press "CTRL + P" to bring up the Print menu.
The "printer" section should say "SMART Notebook Document Writer." If it does not, select that option. Now click "Print" at the bottom of the window.
4. Your PDF file will take a number of seconds to process. Next, a window will pop up asking what you would like to do with this file.
Select "Print to SMART Notebook" to send the newly-converted document to SMART Notebook.
5. Your imported document will now open in a SMART Notebook. You are now free to modify it and even save it as a SMART Notebook file, if you wish!
