Emergency remote teaching (ERT) is a temporary shift in instructional delivery due to crises, designed to be quickly established rather than a planned, robust online experience. Emergency remote teaching can be implemented in a pandemic, inclement weather, campus power/internet outage, or when an instructor can't be on campus (i.e. conference, personal matters). 

These strategies can promote continuation of academic experiences when faced with unforeseeable circumstances. Some solutions may not be the best fit for every instructor or every student in the class, but hearing from the instructor and regular communication will provide students with consistency and reassurance.
