Adding videos stored in or created using the YuJa video platform to Brightspace can be done in a number of ways.

Posting Direct Links to existing YuJa videos

Perhaps the simplest way to add your YuJa videos to a variety of locations is by obtaining the direct link to the video for copying and pasting. 

In your YuJa account:

1. Hover over the video you would like to link to.
2. Select the "More..." option
3. Choose the "Links" tab on the left
4. Click on the copy icon directly to the right of the Direct Link address
5. Paste the link in an Assignment submission, email, direct message, etc. (users do not need a YuJa account in order to view the Direct Link)

In this section, you may also create a Custom Direct Link by replacing the latter part of the address with a specific word or phrase related to your video, or copy the Embed Code to use the video on a website or anywhere an HTML editor is available. There are also Permalink and Security options available for you to adjust.

Embedding links to YuJa videos in Assignments, Announcements, Discussions, etc.

You can use the YuJa Media Chooser integrated with Brightspace to link your videos directly into anywhere the HTML editor toolbar is available. You can find Brightspace Editor nearly everywhere you create content in Brightspace (Assignment instructions, Assignment submissions, Announcements, Discussion Boards, etc.).

1. In the Brightspace Editor, use the "Insert Stuff" button to navigate to "YuJa Media Chooser- BUC"

2. Use the Choose Media tab to search through existing videos in your YuJa account

3. Select one or more of your existing videos, then click on the "Insert Content" button to insert into Brightspace
4. Save your Assignment Submission, Announcement, post, etc.

Creating new videos directly in Assignments, Announcements, etc.

If you have not already created a video and stored it in YuJa, you can also create a new video directly through the "Insert Stuff" button interface,

1. In the Brightspace Editor, use the "Insert Stuff" button to navigate to "YuJa Media Chooser- BUC"

2. Use the Create Recording tab to choose how you want to create a new video (for more information see our Creating Recordings with YuJa Video article)

3. After recording, your video will automatically be uploaded to your YuJa account. Scroll to the bottom of the "Successfully Uploaded Recording" screen to choose "Use This Video" to continue to link it to Brightspace
4. On the next screen, select the "Insert Content" button
5. On the final preview screen, select the "Insert" button
6. Make sure to publish/save/submit your Assignment Submission, Announcement, post, etc.
