Storing Videos in YuJa to use in your Brightspace Courses.
It is recommended that faculty store their class-related videos in the YuJa Video platform and then link to those videos from within their courses.
- Links to YuJa videos will easily copy to future semesters.
- There are currently no limits to the size or number of video files you can store in YuJa.
- Videos stored in your YuJa account can be Auto-captioned for free in just a few clicks.
Uploading Video Content to YuJa
The first step of the process is to store your video content in YuJa. Please sign into YuJa and refer to YuJa's Manually Uploading Media Content page for instructions on completing this process. You may also refer to our Creating Recordings with YuJa Video Knowledge Base article if you prefer to start from scratch.
Inserting the Video into Brightspace
The second step of the process is to insert your saved Video within Brightspace’s Content tool layout along with the other course materials.
- Once logged into Brightspace, navigate to your course homepage.
- Select the Content tab on your course navbar, making sure that you are in the correct module for adding the video.
- On the next page, find the Existing Activities dropdown. Select "YuJa Media Chooser - Deep Link for Qui.." from the list of existing activities.
- Select the desired Video under the Media tab in the Media Chooser.
- Click on the Insert Content button to embed the Video and Save the Activity.
NOTE: The above steps outline the recommended method for linking YuJa videos into your Brightspace course, but there are several other places where YuJa videos can be inserted. This can be done through clicking on the "Insert Stuff" button located in the text editor in Announcements, Discussions, Assignments, and more, then choosing "YuJa Media Chooser - BUC" from the list of options.
