Banner is Buffalo State's course registration system. Students use Banner for things such as registering for classes and viewing their financial aid information. Faculty use Banner to view class rosters, grant overrides and enter grades.
If this is your first time signing in, enter your date of birth in MMDDYY format as the PIN. If you signed into Banner previously but forgot your PIN, visit this page for instructions on resetting your Banner PIN.
- Visit the student Banner page and click Log in to Banner.
- Enter your Banner ID in the User ID box and your date of birth (in MMDDYY format) in the PIN box.
- On the Login Verification Change PIN page, enter your date of birth again in the Re-enter Old PIN box and then choose a new PIN. Click Login. Your new PIN must be at least six characters long and can be a mix of letters and numbers. It is also case-sensitive.
- On the Security Question and Answer page, choose a pre-defined question from the drop-down OR type your own question. Enter the answer to the question and click Submit.
