How to Make Text and Apps Larger in Windows 11

By default, Windows scales text and apps to fit the resolution displayed on your monitor(s). Should you desire to make these appear larger, follow these steps.

  1. Open Settings
  2. Type in “display” in the search bar
  3. Open the Display menu, scroll down to Scale and layout, then open the Scale menu.

25% increments are available in the dropdown menu.  If you desire a more specific size, double click on the Scale menu for custom scaling.  Scale settings will be saved per user and will resume on successive sign-ins by the same user.

Other settings that affect display properties can be found by navigating to Settings/Accessibility.  Accessibility settings will reset after signing out.
