Transfer your school Google Drive to a personal Gmail account

This article explains how to transfer the contents of your school Google Drive to a personal Gmail account. 

  1. Go to https://takeout.google.com/transfer and sign-in with your school Gmail account credentials. If you are already signed into your school Gmail account, you can click on your profile picture and select Manage your Google Account.
  2. Click the Start Transfer button.

  1. Enter the email address of the personal Gmail account that you want to copy the content to and click Send Code.

  1. Check your personal account and look for the Verify your account email from Google. Open this email and click Get confirmation code

  1. Go back to your school account and enter the confirmation code into the verification box.

  1. On the Select the content to copy and transfer screen, make sure Drive is selected and click Start Transfer. Note: you can deselect the Gmail option since this has been (or will be) transferred to Outlook.

You’re all set! You should see a message that the transfer is "in progress" and that "It may take up to a week for the transfer to complete." You’ll receive an email from Google when the transfer is complete.
