Adding a 25Live calendar to your Outlook calendar

If you would like to have events listed on a campus calendar generated in 25Live appear on your Outlook calendar, you can subscribe to the 25Live Calendar by following these steps:

  1. Open a 25Live generated calendar from a Buffalo State website. Examples include the Administrative Calendar, Academic Calendar, Events Calendar, etc.
  2. Depending on the calendar, you may be able to filter. For example, the Administrative Calendar allows you to filter by category.

  1. Check the All button at the top of the list of events.

  1. Click Subscribe, located in the upper right.

  1. Choose iCalendar Subscribe. Right click on the web address that starts with webcal:// and choose copy link address.

  1. Open the web version of Outlook. Sign in using your Buffalo State credentials.
  2. Click on the calendar icon to open your calendar.

  1. Click Add calendar, located in the left panel above the list of your calendars.

  1. Choose Subscribe from web. Paste the link that you copied in step 5 by pressing CTRL + V.

  1. Name your calendar. Under “Add to” use the drop down to determine where to save the calendar. Note: The Import button will not be available until you give your calendar a name.

  1. Click Import.
  2. You will receive a successfully imported message when the import is complete.
  3. Your imported calendar will now appear in the left-hand calendar navigation. If you hover your cursor over the calendar name, you can click on the … More options. This will allow you to rename your calendar, change the color of your calendar or move your calendar.

  1. Your calendar will now also appear on the Desktop version of your Outlook calendar.
Please note: Only events occurring in the next 365 days are displayed on your Outlook calendar. Any updates to a 25Live calendar will be updated on your Outlook calendar. However, these updates are not immediate.
