Several faculty, staff and students on campus received a phishing email with the subject line “IT SUPPORT Announcement.” The message warns the recipient that “Our records indicate that your Office-365 has two different logins with two universities portals” and instructs the recipient to follow a link and “Kindly indicate the two info logins as soon as possible.” This is a phishing scam designed to steal your sign-in information!
Following the link in the email takes you to a Buffalo State branded form prompting you for personal information including your name, phone number and password. If you followed this link and completed this web form, it is imperative that you change your password immediately!
