Several faculty, staff and students on campus received a phishing email on June 23, 2023 purporting to be from “Microsoft 2023.” The message warns the recipient that “Your Account needs to be verified you might not be able to send emails or receive new emails” and includes a link to “Update and Verify your account.” This is a phishing scam designed to steal your sign-in information!
Following the link in the email takes the recipient to a web form prompting for personal information including your name, phone number and password. If you followed this link and completed this web form, it is imperative that you change your password immediately!
