Several faculty, staff and students on campus received a phishing email from a Buffalo State address with the subject line "Memo From The Admin". The message baits the recipient into clicking on a hyperlink - "Click here to view your message.“ This is a phishing scam designed to steal your sign-in information!
Following the link in the email takes the recipient to a web form prompting for personal information including your name, phone number and password. If you followed this link and completed this web form, it is imperative that you change your password immediately!
