Several students on campus received a phishing email on June 5th, 2023 purporting to be from “Microsoft 2023.” The message warns the recipient that “Your Account needs to be verified you might not be able to send emails or receive new emails” and includes a link to “Update and Verify your account.” This is a phishing scam designed to steal your sign-in information!
Clicking on the malicious Update and Verify your account link takes the user to a fake (but very real looking) Microsoft "recovery" page:
