As part of the university's Managed Print Cost Savings Initiative, all students, faculty and staff will need to enroll in the Pharos Secure Release system. To enroll, follow these steps.
ID Enrollment
Open the Pharos Secure Release app from the Windows System tray (or the macOS menu bar) from a campus computer.
When the Welcome to Pharos Secure Release screen opens, click Login to continue.
When prompted, sign-in using your Buffalo State email address and password. Your browser will display a confirmation indicating successful authentication. You can close this message before continuing.
The next screen that appears will display your unique passcode. Write this passcode down! After completing these steps, you will need to enter this code the first time you print at one of the Managed Print Services locations. This passcode will also allow you to print without your Bengal ID Card. Click Continue.
You will also receive a confirmation email from no-reply@beacon.pharos.com with a subject of “Pharos Secure Release Passcode Reference."
