Service Description

Request a new shared Public Folder (e.g. calendar) in Outlook for your department.

Standard Service Features include:

  • Create new Outlook Public Folder and grant access to department employees. 

Optional Features

There are no Optional Service Features associated with this service.

Roles and Responsibilities

Requestor Responsibilities:

  • Requestor is responsible for providing details related to the request including the desired name of the public folder, the public folder type (e.g. Calendar, Notes, Tasks), permission level (i.e., read only, read/edit own entries, read/edit all entries) and the full names / usernames of the individuals needing access. . 

RITE Services Responsibilities:

  • Create public folder and assign permissions to individuals needing access.
  • Communicate status of the request to the requestor or affected user as needed.

Service Level Agreement

Response and resolution times are based on operational hours (Monday through Friday from 8:00AM to 5:00PM).

Service Level 2 - Normal  
Response Time 1 business day
Resolution Time 3 business days
Please Note: Response Time is measured from ticket submission date/time until the ticket is moved to an 'In Process' status. Resolution Time is measured from ticket submission date/time until the ticket is completed/resolved. A ticket in an 'On Hold' status (e.g. IT is waiting for additional information from the requestor) does not count toward the Resolution Time.
