Service Offering Description Banner is Buffalo State’s Student Information System.  Integrated with systems in most major functional areas, Banner supports Admissions, Financial Aid, Student Records, Student Accounts, Housing, Advisement, and many other student services.

Future and current students have access to Banner SSB for Self Service items like admission status, registration, class scheduling, tuition payments and financial aid.
Faculty use Banner SSB for accessing class rosters, class schedules and student contact information, and submitting grades.  Advisors have additional SSB access to academic advising tools.

Service Hours of Availability Banner SSB is available 24x7, subject to scheduled or emergency maintenance 
Service Special Considerations Data access subject to data governance guidelines; specific authorization is based on affiliation

Maintenance and Outage Notifications All scheduled maintenance is announced in advance on the Banner Websites, through the Banner Alerts list, and in the Daily email
Service Security Requirements and Considerations All Banner access is subject to data governance guidelines
Performance Metrics Review and Reporting Banner is accessible 24x7, except during scheduled maintenance windows
