Projector Mute Information

Most digital smart classrooms have the ability to "mute" the projector or display. This temporarily blanks the image being sent to the screen, while preserving the picture being shown on the monitor at the teaching station. The mute feature is instantaneous, so it can be toggled on and off quickly without disruption to class.

Projector mute may be enabled for up to an hour, after which the system will automatically shut down to save lamp hours. Toggling projector mute will reset the hour timer.

The button for projector mute (sometimes shown as "display mute" in rooms where a large monitor is in place) is typically located in the lower right corner of the touch panel interface. When toggled, the button will blink or light up solid to indicate that the projector/display is muted.

Please note: When you are finished using a room, please shut down the room using the "Shut Down Room" (sometimes labeled "Exit") Button which is typically in the upper right corner. This will turn off the projector. Do not simply mute the projector and leave. Muting a projector continues to use lamp hours!
